A little luck at the beginning of the year 2018

To begin with, I would like to say happy new year to everybody. We have reached 2018. OMG. Time flies so fast and I am getting older. Today I am gonna note down some lucky, happy, and exhausted moments in the last 2 weeks of my new year.

Luck goes first. For the first time ever, I won a Vietlot prize. Vietlot jackpot is now worth approximately $1.5M, which is the biggest lottery prize in Vietnam. Congrattts me. But wait, please calm down. I am not a $ millionaire yet. My prize is  the smallest one which is only 30000 vnd (~1.5$). Haha. I still find it extremely excited and start bragging it with my younger sister because after one year of guessing 6 out of 45 numbers and buying tickets, finally I can go to the lottery agency and get some money back.

The next is a happy moment of me and my friends on New Year’s Eve. We prepared a hotpot by ourselves for dinner and enjoyed it with some music at my friend’s appartment. Then six of us went to the Old Quarters to immerse ourselves into a count down festival near Hoan Kiem lake. OMG. There are a lot of people there. A huge crowd means lots of hustle but also lots of fun. The prices went up surprisingly. For example, a bike parking slot costed around 70000 vnd (~3$), 14 times more expensive than usual. We gathered together at the right area of the stage, enjoyed wonderful music from a foreign DJ, and counted down to the last seconds of 2017. Our 2018 began with a couple of beers and a side walk around Hoan Kiem lake. Such an unforgetable moment.

Lost in crowd

Last but not least, I was always up to my ears in works and study. My master program continues with the requirement of 4 reports within the next 2 months. I still have not completed any of them. It really takes time and my full concentration. Therefore, there is no much space for IELTS practicing. My target is achieving Cambridge 6 in January. At work, last Friday was the deadline for releashing new software version to QA and clients of our project. Due to the tight schedule, I had to work quite hard to meet the deadline. A difficult bug nearly made me exhausted in order to test, analyse, and find the root cause. Fortunatelly, everything was fine.

My 2018 have been starting with joy and passion. Like every years, I set many targets to my life and career. The more adventurous they are, the more mature I become. Wish me and all of you a successful and properous year. ^.^
